The last day to buy nomination forms for the October 26 Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) elections saw one surprise one after another on Saturday. Those surprises were mainly shown by the followers of Tarfdar Ruhul Amin.

Tarfdar, who withdrew from the election for the post of president, bought the nomination for the post of senior vice-president.

Supporters of Tarafdar contacted Imrul Hasan from various quarters to elect Imrul Hasan, who had already been nominated for the same position.

Imrul, the President of Bashundhara Kings, who has a 'clean image' personality in the country's football, was adamant in his position. The supporters are hoping that maybe Imrul Hasan will stand down. But Imrul said on Monday from Bangkok that even if there is an opportunity to withdraw the nomination form, he will not withdraw from the polling field.

He said, “Many attempts were made to get the vice president nomination form in my name. But I have directly informed the Election Commission that no one should be allowed to collect the form in my name for the post of Vice President. And it is better if there is a fight in the election.” \Even though a call was made to inquire about this, there was no response from Tarafdar. However, Imrul was supposed to be elected from a panel with this supporter Ruhul Amin.

Tarafdar announced the election for the post of president, Imrul Hasan supported him. Imrul will be the senior vice president candidate in his panel, this too was finalised. Even after announcing the election with much fanfare, the supporters became silent.

After that, after announcing the election of Tabith Awal for the post of president, the sports organizer got a lock on his mouth. It becomes difficult for him to stay in the electoral battle. In particular, Tarafdar moved away from the situation of challenging Tabith for the post of president.

Due to the slow-moving policy of Tarafdar, who became a councilor from Chittagong Abahani, the scenario of BFF elections changed?

Tabith Awal, former two-time vice-president of BFF, is looking for his running mates. There the name of Imrul Hasan started appearing for the position of senior vice-president. Tarfdar and his followers fell into more trouble when he took the nomination form for this post last week. Then they started looking for a compromise. There was also talk of declaring Tarafdar's son Ruhul Saif as the vice-presidential candidate. But Tarifdar, who dreams of sitting in the Bafuf parliament, has tasked his followers to reach a consensus instead of walking that path. As there was no agreement, they applied for all positions.
