Bangladesh’s fastest sprinter Imranur Rahman failed to advance to the main heats of 10m sprint event after finishing sixth out of eight participants in one of six preliminary heats in the Paris Olympic 2024 at Stade de France on Saturday.
The 31-year-old Bangladeshi sprinter, failed to maintain his best ever timing 10.1 in the Islamic Solidarity Games in Turkey following Birmingham Games 2022 failure, when he clocked 10.73 seconds to finish his race – 0.72 seconds
slower in Paris.
Imran finished 33rd in the men’s 100m race of the 22nd Commonwealth Games in Birmingham when he finished third with a timing of 10.46 seconds in
his heat.
Imranur, who specialises in 60m sprints, made a promising start and was on confrontation in the first 50 metres of the race before falling behind the others at the purple track at Stade de France.
