Secretary General of International Maritime Organisation (IMO) Arsenio Antonio Dominguez Velasco recently visited Bangladesh.
He inspected the Chittagong Port's EMU and security measures on the river route from the boat club.
Later he attended at a meeting at Shahid Md. Fazlur Rahman Munshi auditorium, along with Chittagong Port Authority high officials and stakeholders. Other members of the delegation include Director General of Shipping Department, Managing Director of BSC, Members of Chittagong Port, Joint Secretary SM Mustafa Kamal and Deputy Secretary Syed Ali Ahsan, Principal Officer of Mercantile Marine Department, senior officials of various government departments, heads of departments of the port and other stakeholder leaders were present on the occasion.
High Commissioner of Bangladesh to the UK Saida Muna Tasneem was also present on the occasion.
