August is the month of mourning. To turn grief into strength, renowned fiction writer Imdadul Haq Milan's popular story 'Neta Je Rate Nihoto Holen' is coming to the stage.
Theatre troupe Ethic will premiere its latest production at the experimental theatre hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on August 15 marking National Mourning Day.
The play, 12th production of Ethic, has been scripted and directed by Rezwanur Rahman.
Regarding the drama, the director said, 'This is a remarkable story of Imdadul Haq Milan. No one else has written such a story about Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Bengali language.”
The story depicts how a simple man can love a great leader from the core of his heart.
Sukarna Hasan plays the role of Ratan Majhi, the main character of the play. Moni Kanchan, Mintu Sardar, Rizvi Ahmed, Azim Uddin, Monirul Haque Jhalak, Tariqul Rimon, SP Khan Shaon, Rezina Runy, Mahfuza Afnan Apsra and Rubel also performed in the play.
Rabbi Sukarna designed the stage; Ashim Kumar Natta composed the music; Amlan Biswas designed the stage lighting; Shuvashih Dutta Tanmoy did makeup; Enam Tara Saki designed the props and costume and Dhruba Esh made the poster in the play.
