The newly elected committee of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) Alumni Association, Bangladesh (IIMCAABD) paid tribute to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on Saturday.
The IIMCAABD committee members, led by President Farid Hossain and General Secretary Angur Nahar Monty, placed wreath at Bangabandhu’s portrait in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi 32 in the capital.
They observed a moment of silence in deep respect for the memory of the Father of the Nation, the architect of Independent Bangladesh, his family members, Liberation War martyrs, and Freedom Fighters.
Senior Vice President Muhammad Rahmat Ali, Joint Secretary Gani Adam, Executive Member Nazrul Islam, Syed Mehdi Momen, and Wares Hossain, along with association member Taufiq Aziz, were also present.
The newly elected IIMCAABD committee took charge office on June 1 for the 2024-26 term.
This is the third committee of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) Alumni Association, Bangladesh established in 2018.
