Jhenidah district unit of Bangladesh Sarkari Karmachari Samannoy Parishad arranged an Iftar and doa mahfil on the office premises of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) in Jhenidah on Thursday.
DC Saroj Kumar Nath, deputy director of local government division Saifur Rahman Khan, additinal deputy commissioner (general) Arif Uz Zaman, Jhenidah Sadar upazila parishad chairman Advocate Abdur Rashid, upazila nirbahi officer Shammi Islam and nejarat deputy collector Khairul Islam among others spoke on the occasion.
President of the platform Jahid Hasan, vice president Kazi Atiar Rahman, general secretary Elahi Bakhs, joint secretary Mizanul Islam, member Mustaque Ahmed among others were present.
Jahid Hasan along with other leaders of the Bangladesh Sarkari Karmachari Samannoy Parishad welcomed the guests.
Before Ifatar, a special munajat was offered seeking peace and prosperity for the country.
