Islamic Foundation Bangladesh (IFB) in Jhenaidah has observed its 49th founding anniversary. A discussion meeting and doa mahfil was organized to mark the day with enthusiasm at the IFB auditorium recently.
Presided over by IFB deputy director Abdul Hamid Khan, deputy commissioner (DC) SM Rafiqul Islam attended the programme as the chief guest. Superintendent of police (SP) in Jhenaidah Azim Ul Ahsan, ex commander of Bangladesh Muktijoddha sangshad Jhenaidah district unit command Makbul Hossain and IFB assistant director (retired) Shamim Hossain, among others, were present as special guests. Bangladesh Imam Samity Jhenaidah district unit president, also DC Court Jame Mosque Khatib Mohammadullah presented his key note. IFB field supervisor Aminul Islam presented his welcome speech.
The speakers said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on March 22 of 1975 had the established IFB to expand and wide publicity of the Islam among the people.
The dowa mahfil had prayed for him and others sacrificed lives for the liberation of the country from the clutch of the occupied Pakistani rulers in 1971.
IFB Master Trainer Abdullah Al Mamun conducted the doa mahfil.
