The Institution of Engineers Bangladesh (IEB) and Max Group have jointly distributed 50 free oxygen cylinders to Covid-19 patients in Noakhali district for use at Covid-19 Dedicated Hospital in Noakhali. Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Khorshed Alam Khan received the cylinders in the meeting room of the DC office on Saturday afternoon.
At that time, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Khorshed Alam Khan said that Covid-19 infection is increasing in Noakhali district. Patients who used to be treated at the district Covid-19 dedicated Hospital, are now being treated at the upazila level.
These cylinders will come in handy for hospital administration right now.
Zia Uddin Jewel, a representative of Max Group, said that the IEB-Max Group has launched an Oxygen Support Center in response to the Prime Minister's call for an immediate response to the Covid-19 epidemic. As part of this, 50 oxygen cylinders have been provided in Noakhali district.
District Civil Surgeon Masum Iftekhar, Additional District Magistrate Tariqul Alam, Additional Deputy Commissioner Israt Sadmin and Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Nazimul Haider and other officials were present at the programme.
