The final gala round of the second season of the largest online Finance quiz competition – “IDLC Finance Olympiad 2.0” took place on Friday at Krishibid Institution Bangladesh Complex (KIB).
Over 40,000 students participated in the Online Finance Olympiad which was live from 15th September 2019 to 6th October 2019 and among them only the top 100 scorers were selected for the second round. On Friday, the first offline round took place where the top 100 went through a written exam and from there only 16 students made it to the final gala round, among them 8 students were from the senior section and 8 students from the junior section.
Later on the same day, these contestants competed for the champion’s title in the presence of more than 1000 live audience. And lastly among them 6 winners were announced, 3 from junior section and 3 from the senior section.
The senior section’s winner was Sharif Mia from Department of Finance, University of Dhaka (DU), the 1st runner up was Shahid Alam from Department of Finance, DU and the 2nd runner up was Pritam Azra Hassan from Department of Finance, Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB).
The awarding ceremony took place in the presence of Minister of State for Information and Communications Technology, Junaid Ahmed Palak, Arif Khan, CEO of IDLC Finance, Ayman Sadiq, CEO and founder of Robi 10 Minute School and Mahtab Uddin Ahmed, managing director and CEO of Robi Axiata Limited.
