The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 on Thursday issued warrant to arrest 12 Mymensingh men accused of committing crimes against humanity in 1971.
The two-member ICT-1 panel headed by Justice Md Shahinur Islam passed the order, allowing a plea of the prosecution.
Prosecutors Mokhlesur Rahman Badal and Tapas Kanti Baul moved the plea before the tribunal this morning. The prosecution however, refrained from revealing the identities of the accused.

"The probe in the case is in the final stage and the accused needed to be kept behind the bars for the sake of proper investigation. So we had pleaded to issue arrest warrant against these accused and the tribunal allowed our plea," prosecutor Barrister Tapas Kanti Baul told newsmen.
