Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB)offered training on ‘Filing of income tax return for companies and individuals: focusing on compliance with the Income Tax Act-2023’ held on Saturday at Hotel Bengal Canary Park, Dhaka.
M Nurul Alam FCS, Senior Vice President and Coordinator of the training program welcomed all the participants, introduced the resource persons and outlined the objectives of the training.
He added that this initiative of ICSB will enhance competencies of the participants and help them to stay updated with the latest knowledge.
He informed that, similar training programs would continue in the coming days for the development of Company Secretariesand Corporate Executives of the country.
The daylong training sessions were conducted by Apurba Kanti Das, Former Member (Tax Appeal & Exemption) of the National Board of Revenue (NBR); Ikhtiare Uddin Mohammad Mamun, Director General of BCS (Tax) Academy; Sarwar Hossain Khan, Deputy Director, Tax and Fiscal Compliance of Banglalink Digital Communications Limited and Dipongkor Dutta ACS, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Universal Medical College and Hospital Limited.
During the training, the resource persons discussed and presented key compliance issues, with a focus on the Income Tax Act 2023 and the filing of income tax returns for both companies and individuals.
