Nayeb-e-Ameer of Islami Andolon Bangladesh (IAB) Mowlana Abdul Aowal on Wednesday urged businessmen to play vital role to stabilize the prices of essential commodities and make marginal profit.
He made this call at a views-exchange meeting with the Directors of Khulna Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) at the Chamber building.
IAB leader also urged businesses to reduce the number of middle man in the supply chain to keep the prices of daily commodities.
He lauded role of the interim government for introducing OMS programme across the country saying regular vigilance on kitchen market can stabilize the market.
The acting KCCI President Sharif Atiar Rahman presided over the meeting, who assured the IAB leaders of taking necessary steps to bring essential commodities within the purchasing capacity of the consumers.
