Jannatul Ferdous Oishee has been popular since she won the title of Miss World Bangladesh crown in 2018. Although she got many offers to act on the small screen, she turned them down with her sweet smile. Waiting for a suitable story, desired screenplay where she can act like her own. The wait finally came to an end in 2019. There is an opportunity to act in three movies in a row, not one or two. Oishee will soon be seen with Arfin Shuvvo in the movie ‘Mission Extreme’. She will make her big screen debut with this movie.
After winning the Miss World Bangladesh crown, Oishee is the first Bangladeshi contestant to compete in the grand finale of Miss World. However, she could not fight in peace like the competitors of other countries. Every step of the competition has to be passed with a lot of thought and mental pressure.
Oishee recalls those days in a recent interview and said that clothing is a big issue for beauty pageants. Competitors from other countries get as many outfits. Not just clothes, they get everything. They get sponsored from a toothbrush to a safety pin. But I bought everything by myself. I only got three dresses from the sponsor. The MD of the organization gave a sari. After I got there I realized that most of the clothes which were brought were unnecessary for me. I was wondering what to wear.
She added that everyone else is participating in the competition with a calm head. Calling home and saying this is done, that is done, posting pictures. And I had to deal with these every day. I could not take part in the competition with a calm head. Then when I saw my clothes running out after 7 days I wondered what I would do now. I called my brother later. My business partner sent me clothes.
Oishee also told about an interesting incident with sari at that time.
The actress said that the MD of the organization gave me a sari which did not have a blouse or petticoat. I have never worn a sari alone before, I did not know how to wear a sari. There was nothing blouse-petticoat on it. Then an idea came to my mind. Sari can be worn in two ways. With Kuchi in the style of the city and through the village in one patch. There were many villages before where people did not wear blouses. I had to wear sari without blouse.
