A husband has allegedly killed his wife by beating at a remote village in bordering Moheshpur upazila of Jhenaidah on Friday early morning. The deceased was identified as Rozina Khatun, 25, wife of Mahidul Islam of Chandratanpur village of Kazirber union.
She might be killed following extra marital affairs on the part of the housewife with a local young man, Moheshpur police is suspecting initially.
Former Chairman of Kazirber Union Abdul Alim said the husband had hit his wife with a piece of wood used for vegetables cutting at around 2 am while, she died instantly. Family feud was the reason behind the killing, Abdul Alim said.
Moheshpur police station officer in charge (OC) Saiful Islam when contacted said the body of Rozina was sent to Jhenaidah Sadar hospital for post mortem examination.
The husband was absconding since the incident. EXtra marital affair wit another young man might be th reason behind the killing of the house wife, OC said.
