Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained a suspected international hundi trader along with 20,000 US dollar and 2500 Rupees from Amrakhali area under Benapole Port Police Station on Monday noon.
The US dollar was smuggled from India. The arrestee was identified as Narayon Chandro, 36 son of Bijoy Chandro, hailed from Sirjadi Khan thana under Munshigang district.
Commanding officer of BGB 49 Battalion, Lt Col Salim Reja said on secret information, the border guards arrested him when he was smuggling huge US dollar from India. After searching his body, 20,000 US dollar and 2500 Rupees was seized.
A case was filed in this connection.
