One hundred bundles of corrugated tin and three lakh Tk have been allocated for the construction of houses to provide humanitarian assistance to the victims in Pirganj upazila of Rangpur district. Two hundred packets of dried and other food have also been allotted. The allocation was made on Monday by the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief.

Each of the aid packet contains a total of eight items including 10 kg miniket rice, 1 kg lentil, 1 kg salt, 1 liter soybean oil, 1 kg sugar, 100 g chilli powder, 200 g turmeric powder and 100 g coriander powder. Each packet of food is expected to provide food for about a week for a family of four.
Instructions have been issued to distribute the sanctioned corrugated tin, cash and other food items among the victims in consultation with the concerned MP.
