A human chain formed by hundreds of people had demanded improve the service quality and set intensive care unit (ICU) in hospitals for proper treatment of the corona infested people when the health service was in jeopardy.
The human chain was formed at Jhenaidah district post office intersection on Sunday by a voluntary organization “Corona Squad”.
Hundreds of people including social workers, cultural activists and professionals with banner and festoons participated in the human chain.
Corona Squad member Tanvir Ahmed Ovi, District natya Samanaya parishad president Rubel Parvez, cultural activists Ekramul Haque Liku and Shahinur Rahman Liton among others spoke.
The speakers i the human chain said the patients have been suffering badly when the hospitals in the district do not have ICU for treating the corona infested people.
Further, the services in those hospitals were not quality. It has been throwing the patients elsewhere for better treatment environment which has been increasing the number of death incidents. They had demanded i0mmediate improvement of the service quality and set up
corona ICU.
