A human chain has been formed in front of Noakhali Press Club at Anantapur in Noakhali's Begumganj demanding justice for the murder of three people on Thursday.
Apart from the family members of the slain BCL leaders Wasim, Rajib and Yasin, locals including BCL leaders and activists have also participated.
Speakers at the Manbandhan program said, “At one stage of muddle about bathing the dog eight locals including Saju, Sultan, Sourav, Wasim, Rajib and Yasin beat and shot Wasim, Rajib and Yasin. The injured were later rescued and taken to hospital. All three died while undergoing treatment. Though a murder case has been registered in the incident, police have so far arrested only one person. The other accused are fleeing the country and abroad. Six years gone, the police are not taking any action to arrest them.”
Speakers have called for the arrest of those involved in the triple murder and for the death penalty to be imposed.
Earlier on March 23, 2016, local terrorists killed three people, including a BCL leader, over a dispute over bathing a dog in a pond at the old campus of Noakhali Government College, Anantapur, Begumganj.
