The HSC and equivalent exams for this year will commence next Sunday, June 30.
This year, a total of 14,50,790 candidates will appear for exams across various boards, including General, Technical, and Madrasah Education. Of these, 7,50,281 are male and 7,50,509 are female students.
There are 2,725 exam centres and 9,463 educational institutions, marking an increase from last year with 91,448 more examinees, 294 additional institutions, and 67 extra centres. To ensure a fair examination environment, Education Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury has ordered the closure of all coaching centres from June 29 to August 11.
Additionally, the Ministry of Education has issued several guidelines:
1. Candidates must enter exam halls at least 30 minutes before the start time. Late arrivals should be documented in a register with reasons and reported to the board on the same day.
2. The question paper code will be sent via SMS 25 minutes before the exam begins.
3. Only authorised personnel (excluding those with cameras) may carry mobile phones/electronic devices into the centre.
4. Only those directly involved (examinees, invigilators, ministry and board inspection teams, and security personnel) may enter the exam centre.
5. Special arrangements have been made for differently abled candidates:
6. Visually impaired candidates, those with cerebral palsy, and candidates without hands may have a scribe assist them during the exam, with an additional 20 minutes provided.
7. Candidates with autism, Down syndrome, or cerebral palsy may receive support from teachers, parents, or helpers, with an extra 30 minutes allocated.
8. The Ministry of Education aims to facilitate a smooth and equitable examination process for all candidates.
