Bangladesh High Performance (HP) team tasted a five-wicket to Tasmania Tigers in their second Top End T20 series match of the Australia tour in Darwin on Tuesday.
Put into bat first, Bangladesh HP piled up 166-5 with Parvez Hossain Emon hammering 29 ball-39 not out with two fours and two sixes.
Opener Jishan Alam blasted 38 off 23 with two fours and three sixes but his fellow opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim slowed down the scoring rate, having made 28 off 29.
While Emon who top-scored with 48 ball-69 in HP's 77-run win over Melbourne Renegades in the first match, amended this slow knock with robust hitting, the other batters failed to reciprocate him. Skipper Akbar Ali made 20 but his strike rate was not also up to the mark.
Tasmania Tigers, though, were reduced to 51-3 in eighth over, they recovered in style to reach the winning target of 167 in 19.3 overs, losing five wickets.
Jake Doran smashed an unbeaten 71 off 37 with four fours and three sixes to play the key role in the side's victory. Opener Nick Davis with 23 ball-30 was the other notable scorer.
For Bangladesh, left-arm spinner Rakibul Hasan claimed 2-25.
Bangladesh HP team will take on Tasmania in there third T-20 match today.
