Police in Faridpur sadar upazila recovered dead body of a housewife from beside the road at Mallikpur area of same upazila on Saturday morning.
The vitctim was identified as Jeasmin Akhter(35) daughter of Rafiqul Islam of Karanyapur area under neighbouring Modhukhali upazila.
Police and locals informed, on Friday morning Jeasmin arrived at her rented house at Alipur in Faridpur town to receive mango sent by her husband through Courier Service. She drew the mango from the Courier service office in the evening and started for her father's home with the mango by riding on an battery operated auto.
Family members found her mobile phone switched off since after the evening and they started to search Jeasmin. On Saturday morning, locals watched the dead body of Jeasmin lying infront of a sugarcane field beside the road at Mallikpur area and informed her family members. Her family members rushed to the spot and identified the dead body of Jeasmin.
Alimuzzaman, Superintendent of Police of Faridpur informed, Jeasmin arrived to the rented house of her husband at Faridpur town area from her father's house to receive mango which her husband had sent her through the courier service.
The incident of murder occurred on the way during returning with the mango from the courier service to her father's house though a battery operated auto on Friday evening.
Police of Kotwali police station, DB police, PBI members and CID Crime cell visited the spot and recovered the dead body and sent it to the morgue to Faridpur Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy. He hoped to reveal the mystery behind the murder and to arrest the killers as soon as possible.
