State Minister for Cultural Affairs K.M. Khalid Babu has expressed his intention to preserve the patrnal houses of internationally acclaimed Film Director Rittik Kumar Ghatak, renowned Historians Askhoy Kumar Maitra, Sir Jadunath Sarker and the famous poet Rajani Kanta Sen in Rajshahi.
State Minister was exchanging views with the cultural activists in Rajshahi at the conference room of Rajshahi Circuit House on Thursday morning.
During the exchange of views State Minister KM Khalid Babu said, he heard several times about preservation of paternal abodes of renowned cultural and historical personalities, film director and poet of Rajshahi, acclaimed film director Rittik Kumar Ghatak, Askhoy Kumar Maitra, poet Rajanikanta Sen and Sir Jadunath Sarker.
He said steps will be taken from the Cultural Ministry to preserve the houses of those renowned personalities. State Minister also assured the cultural personalities of Rajshahi to build a 'Free Stage' ( Mukta Mancha) in front of Rajshahi District Shilpakala Academy soon.
The exchange of view programme was attended, among others, by Member of Parliament of Rajshahi-5 constituency Professor Dr. Monsur Rahman, President and the General Secretary of Rittik Ghatak Film Society Dr. FMA Zahid and Mahmud Hossain respectively, General Secretary of Sammilito Sanskritik Jote Dilip Kumar Ghose, Member of Group Theatre Federation Kamarullah Sarker, BangladeshJatra Federation, Rajshahi district President Golam Moshed and General Secretary of Rajshahi Abbritty Charcha Kendro Moniruzman Ujjal.
