Deputy leader of Parliament Matia Chowdhury on Wednesday said the country could not go forward without women empowerment.
Emphasising on higher education for the women, she said the present govt is working for the wellbeing of women.
Matia Chowdhury was speaking in a function on distributing dresses among secondary school and madrasa students under Urpha Union in Nakla upazila of the district on the occasion of Eid. The function was organized at the Union Parishad building.
Nakla upazila Parishad Chairman Borhan Uddin, upazila Nirbahi Officer Sadia Ummul Banin and General Secretary of Nakla Upazila unit Awami League Shafiqul Islam were present, among others.
