Ashraful Hossen Alom alias Hero Alom on Sunday said he will file a case against the defamatory remarks made by BNP senior leader Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
He further said ,"I came to the DB office to complain. But they said they cannot take a direct case in this regard. So now I'm going to file a case in the court.”
He made these remarks after coming out of DB headquarters on Sunday. Later he went to the Dhaka Judge Court in the old part of the capital Dhaka for lodging the case in the court.
He however returned without filing the case on Sunday.
Court sources said his lawyer is preparing the petition which is to be submitted this week.
Earlier, in a video, BNP leader Ruhul Kabir Rizvi was heard saying that Hero Alom was a “half-educated person” and “crazy.”
Hero Alom later published a video on his social media account, criticizing Rizvi’s comments.
The social media content creator said: “I do not want to speak against anyone. But this is very sad. I have seen the video of BNP leader Ruhul Kabir Rizvi calling me crazy. He has also questioned my educational qualifications.”
“I have the right to contest in elections. Nowhere in the law does it say that you have to have certain educational qualifications or that you have to look good.”
He has also urged politicians not to demean him.
