A headmaster was suspended for humiliating two female students of a primary school in Ishwardi upazila of Pabna on Tuesday. The accused, Milon Kumer Bhoumik, is the acting headmaster of Salimpur Varoimari Mathalpara Government Primary School.
Education officer of Ishwardi Upazila Mrinal Kanti Sarker confirmed the matter. The victim and her father submitted a written complanit against Milon Kumer Bhoumik to education officer of Ishwardi Upazila and governing body of the school on 1st March. After, it was known to all, locals seized the teacher in a classroom of the school.
According to locals, the headmaster used to call on girls and talked with them by touching their body and sexually harass them. But, no initiative was taken lack of any evidence. On 25th February, Milon called on two students of class five at his room. One of the student alleged that he showed porn video and missbehaved with them. He touched their bodies and sexually harrased them.
When the duo were crying, headmaster of the school threatened them. Later, they cried out and informed the matter to their gurdians. After spreading the incident, locals and guardians demanded the suspension of the accused headmaster. When the situation went worse, Milon Kumer fleed the scene.
Mrinal Kanti Sarker said, after receiving the complaint, I went to the school and investigated and submitted the report to the district primary education officer Khandaker Mansur Rahman.
