Headmaster of Dakkhin Ramnager government primary school in Jhenaidah Sadar upazila have allegedly sold a number of tress and branches without consent of the school authority and defalcated the money without depositing it into the official account.
Further, she hid huge chair and tables of the school in a nearby house for selling purposes. But the authority concern including the president of school management committee (SMC) and other teachers and officials of the primary education department was not informed of the matter yet. It had created spark among the locals and the officials of the said department. They had demanded legal punishment to the said headmaster Runa Laila.
Dakkhin Ramnager government primary school SMC president Naimur Rahman Razib said huge trees and branches were stacked on the school premises which were razed to the ground due to storm for last few months. But the headmaster of the school Runa Laila had sold the same without informing any one of SMC or the education office authorities. She had also hided 30-40 chairs and tables in a nearby house for selling the same secretly.
When contacted, headmaster Runa Laila admitted that she had sold some of the branches of the trees and informed the matter to assistant upazila primary education officer (AEPEO) Hasan Masud, while she could not say anything about the furnishers hidden in the nearby house. Runa Laila said it was unethical to keep the school assets to any house or individual.
When contacted AEPEO Hasan Masud said he was informed that some furnishers were kept in a nearby house of the school by the said headmaster, while he was not informed about selling of any three or its branches.
