Travellers on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway experienced a smooth and congestion-free journey during Eid.
The 105-km stretch through Cumilla district, from Meghna Gumti Bridge toll plaza to Chouddagram Padua point, was free of traffic jams, according to the Highway Police.
Sub-inspector Anwar Hossain of Daudkandi Highway Police confirmed that vehicles were moving without any major delays.
Bus stands in areas such as Gouripur, Iliotganj, Madhaiya, Chandina, Nimsar, Cumilla Cantonment, Alekharchar, Padua Bazar, Suagonj, Mia Bazar, and Chouddagram saw increased traffic. Despite the higher volume, particularly of private vehicles, the flow remained steady and uninterrupted.
