Harvard to collaborate with BracU

The Vice Chancellor (VC) and President of Brac University (BracU), Professor Vincent Chang is working with the vision to increase international collaboration of BracU. Marking this, recently Professor Chang arranged couple of meetings with international academia personalities at BracU campus.

In this regard, Professor Michelle A Williams, dean of Harvard T H Chan School of Public Health, met Professor Chang on Wednesday. After the meeting, Professor Williams agreed to commence a significant collaboration with BracU.

This collaboration includes research and exchange. “It’s going to complement the strengths of Harvard and BracU. And it will make difference in a big way,” said Professor Chang.

“There is no great university in the world which is not international. And BracU is no unique”, he added Dr Richard Cash, senior lecturer on Global Health at Harvard T H Chan School of Public Health who has been working with BRAC for near 50 years was present in the meeting as well.

Apart from this, Professor Chang had meeting with Dr Ayman El-Mohandes, dean of City University of New York (CUNY) on Thursday and also met Journalist Laura Hoeflinger from Der Spiegel Magazine of Germany on Friday.

In both the meetings, Professor Chang discussed the importance of internationalization of BracU, vision and mission and goals for the next four years.
