Bangladesh origin English footballer Hamza Cowdhury is just one step away from playing as the man in Red and Green when the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has searced for final approval from FIFA.
BFF have alrready got a No-Objection Certificate NOC) from the England Football Association last week.
BFF general secretary Emran Hossain told the reporters on Tueday that they have applied for the fial approval of FIFA after having the NOC from the England FA last week of August.
“We have already applied to FIFA for the final approval for Hamza Chowdhury and our application is supposed to be placed before the players’ status committee, subject to the availability of all related documents,” said Emran Hossain.
“A specific time-frame to acquire the FIFA approval could not be ascertained, however, they expect Hamza to be available to play for Bangladesh in the November FIFA window,” The BFF generalsecretary added.
“We had previously seek NOC from England FA for other England-born Bangladeshi players during the regime of Jamie Day and it is the same process for Hamza, who showed his interest in playing for Bangladesh,” Emran said.
