The Department of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has suspended the salaries and allowances of two teachers. This action was taken because they shared the questions and answers of the semi-annual school exams online.

Students recently took the semi-annual assessment exams. There have been complaints that the exam questions were leaked on the internet. This caused a lot of concern among students and parents.

DSHE confirmed this information on Tuesday. The two teachers involved are Lutfunnesa, the principal of Donavan Secondary School in Patuakhali Sadar, and Jamal Uddin, the principal of Aminabad Secondary School in Charfesson Upazila, Bhola.

On July 6,DSHE issued show-cause notices to these two head teachers. The notices were given because the teachers had shared the evaluation instructions on social media the night before the exam. The teachers were given three working days to explain their actions.

In the notice, it was mentioned that the assessment instructions or question papers for the semi-annual exams, provided through the National Curriculum and Textbook Board’s craft apps, had been leaked. This led to the suspension of their salaries and allowances.

This incident has raised concerns about the security and fairness of the exam process.

Authorities are taking steps to prevent such issues in the future and ensure the integrity of school assessments.
