Heavy rains have been pouring at various places in Brahmanbaria. On Friday afternoon, thunderstorms with black clouds began to blow in the sky. This caused damage to the growing crops in different places of the district.
The half an hour long rain caused severe damage to various crops in various areas of the district including Sadar upazila, Nasirnagar and Sarail.
Earlier, on Thursday hailstorm took place along with heavy rains at Vijayanagar and Nasirnagar area of the district. The Department of Agriculture said this also caused damage to the crops.
Rabiul Haque Majumder, Deputy Director of the District Department of Agricultural Extension said that there were reports of crop damage at various places in the district from the hailstorm.
