Model-actress Tangia Zaman Methila the winner of 'Miss Universe Bangladesh 2020'. The actress first film titled 'Rohingya', directed by Indian director Haider Khan in 2019 is awaiting release. Making her debut with this movie which has been finished long ago but the release was delayed for so long due to the censor board's clearance. However, the wait ended and the film got clearance from the censor board on August 23.
It is learnt that the director is planning to release the film through OTT platform. Methila has played the role of ‘Rohingya’ girl named Hussain Ara in this Bollywood movie. She will be seen speaking two languages Arakanese and Hindi. During the shooting, it was very useful for her being proficient in Hindi.
However, a translator was also there on the sets for the convenience of the work. ‘Mr Bhutan’ Sangay has played the role opposite the actress.
The screenplay of the movie has been arranged around the character of Methila. About her working experience in cinema she said, "I have learned a lot while working in this film. The work experience is undoubtedly good. After working here, I decided to act.’
Regarding actress performance director Haider Khan said, ‘Methila is really hard working. She already took a challenge for herself in her debut film. She will be seen speaking two languages Arakanese and Hindi in the film that she is not used to with. It is quite tough for one to adopt something new but she has managed that very well. I am very much optimistic about the film; hopefully the viewers will like it’.
