In the inauguration ceremony of free seeds and chemical sir programme under Kharip 2 seasonal agricultural incentives among 40 small and marginal farmers in Gurudaspur Upazila of Natore district. Chemical fertilizers including 5 kg bean seed, potash (MOP) and 10 kg DAP (DAP) sir seeds were distributed.
On Thursday, September 15, at 10 am, a discussion meeting on the distribution was held in the Upazila Auditorium jointly organized by the Upazila Administration and the Directorate of Agricultural Extension.
Alhaj Professor Abdul Quddus, the local member of parliament and president of Natore District Awami League, was the chief guest and distributed the seeds and chemical fertilizers. In this, 200 kg of legume sead, 200 kg of potash and 400 kg of DAP fertilizer were distributed among the farmers.
The meeting was chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Tamal Hossain and the local member of parliament and Natore district Awami League president Alhaj Professor Abdul Quddus spoke as the chief guest. Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Mehdi Hasan Shakeel, Vice Chairman Alal Sheikh, Women Vice Chairman Roksana Akhter, Upazila Agriculture Officer Harunor Rashid, Additional Agriculture Officer Sabia Sultana, Agriculture Extension Officer Matiur Rahman and others spoke as special guests.
