New guidelines have been issued to address issues faced by applicants during the Class XI admission process. Students who did not receive SMS notifications or were unable to log in during their application process have been advised to complete the process again. The education ministry revealed the information on Monday on its website.

Paying admission fees: A new system for paying admission fees for Class XI has been introduced. Students can now easily pay their fees online. Also, a direct mobile banking payment option has been made available. The first phase of the three-phase admission process will run until June 11.

Resolving SMS and login Issues: Students who signed up but did not receive an SMS or were unable to log in due to SMS gateway issues between May 29 and 30 need to complete the sign-up process again. They are then requested to log in.

Payment issues: An earlier notice addressed the issues applicants faced in paying the application fee. A direct payment option through bKash has been implemented. After paying the application fee, applicants can log into the smart admission system portal for Class XI to confirm that the payment has been completed.

Server issues and fee payment problems: The admission application process could not start on time due to server issues. Although the application process was scheduled to begin on the morning of May 26, website access problems delayed it.

Once the issues were resolved, the application process resumed. A glitch showing the wrong gender of applicants was fixed on the morning of May 28. However, applicants faced difficulties in paying fees, which have now been resolved.

Admission fees: This year, the admission fee for colleges in the capital is set at Tk 7,500, and Tk 8,500 for English medium. In other metropolitan areas outside Dhaka, the maximum fee is Tk 5,000, Tk 3,000 in district towns, and Tk 2,500 in upazilas.

Available seats and passing students: There are 2.5 million seats available for Class XI admissions, but only 1.672 million students passed, leaving over 800,000 seats vacant.

This year, 2,024,192 students participated in the SSC examination, and 1,672,153 students passed. A total of 182,132 students achieved a GPA-5.
