Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) Center for Research Innovation and Transformation (CRIT) coordinated a workshop focusing on the theme: ‘Writing a Funded Research Project Proposal’ on 4 September at 3pm in IQAC Auditorium.
Professor Dr Md Abdur Razzaque, dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering and Chairperson of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, GUB, enriched the workshop as the keynote speaker. Target audience of this talk encompassed graduate research students, young faculty members, researchers and anyone interested to submit applications for research grants. The event was a large gathering of 60 faculty members from different disciplines of GUB where around 40 were from the faculty of Science and Engineering. This huge participation reflects the inquisitiveness of the GUB faculty members towards research activities.
Obtaining research project funded from national and international organization is extremely important for up lifting university status as well as involving engagement of university faculties and officers in research work. The programme was enlightened by the facilitator’s constructive lecture, suggestions, advices, some tricks and tactics related to writing and submitting a research project proposal for possible funding and a full of inspirations that will surely be of immense help to the faculty members of GUB to develop the confidence for writing such proposal.
