To reduce the complications related to admission including travel, accommodation and food of the students, the entry exam for undergraduate first-year admission to 24 general and science and technology universities across the country is being conducted in a cluster system for the fourth time.
The admission test for candidates from the humanities department in the "B" unit was held from 11 am to 12 pm on Friday.
The attendance rate of the students in the examination centers was around 90 percent this time, said the convener of the integrated admission committee of GST cluster universities Jashore University of Science & Technology (JUST) vice-chancellor Prof Dr Md Anwar Hossain.
Prof Dr Md Anwar Hossain said, “Examinations have been conducted very smoothly in Bangladesh, no unwanted incidents have occurred anywhere and no errors have been found in the questions.
Question papers are delivered to all the centers and sub-centers before the commencement of the examination through tight security. Overall, the 'B' unit test was completed in a very nice environment.”
He also said that the results of 'B' unit will be announced within the next 72 hours. He sincerely thanked the teachers, officials and employees of the cluster universities who were involved in the overall activities including preparation of question papers and moderation for the smooth completion of the examination.
