The Inventory Module of the Bangladesh e-Government ERP project was inaugurated on Wednesday 11 March at the NEC Auditorium of the Planning Commission. Honorable Minister M A Mannan of the Planning Division was present as the chief guest.
Planning Secretary Md Nurul Amin presided over the inauguration program. Senior secretary of ICT Division N M Ziaul Alam, Executive Director of Bangladesh Computer Council Parthapratim Deb, e-Government ERP project director Ashoke Kumer Roy, Deputy Secretary of Planning Division Md. Khorshed Alam, Dr. Shamsul Alam, Member of Parliament Rubina Akhter Mira, Cockrates Limited CEO Mustafizur Rahman Sohel, Ministry of Planning, BCC, BUET, Cockrates Limited and consultants, officials and employees of the project and other guests were present at program.
On the occasion, Honorable Minister of Planning Division M A Mannan himself inaugurated the module by providing item requisition.
MA Mannan said, "We are moving towards establishing a Digital Bangladesh, as a result of which we are inaugurating the Inventory Module of the Bangladesh e-Government ERP project."
Deputy Secretary of Planning Md. Khorshed Alam delivered the welcome speech on the occasion, and Mustafizur Rahman Sohel, CEO of Cocrates Limited, spoke about the technical strategy of the software.
In addition, the formal use of the Inventory Module was started in several government organisations including Bangladesh Computer Council, ICT Division and CCA.
It is to be noted that this software is being developed by modern technology for easy and smooth operation of the official functions of various ministries and departments. In this regard, Bangladesh Computer Council under the Information and Communication Technology Department has adopted a project called 'e-Government ERP'.
