Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Choudhury has said that the present government is working relentlessly to establish a labour and worker friendly industrial environment.
She said this wheile Sramik Karmachari Oikya Parishad (SKOP) leaders led by its chairman Kamrul Hasan, visited the Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Choudhury at her office on Saturday.
The leaders handed over a memorandum containing proposals for labour welfare to the speaker.
Dr Shirin said that the government has allotted a separate budget for the welfare of the labours and workers. BGME is now providing the woman labours with lactating mother allowance.
She said that the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working relentlessly to establish a labour and worker friendly industrial environment.
Shirin Akhter, MP, SKOP member and leaders Dr Wazedul Islam Khan, Shah Mohammad Abu Jafar, Kamrul Ahsan, Chowdhury Ashikul Alam, Saifuzzaman Badshah, Rajekuzzaman Ratan and senior official of the parliament were present.
Chairman Kazi Riazul Haque were present, among others, on the occasion.
