Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury on Tuesday said the government would provide all kinds of assistance and cooperation for the treatment of the injured in the anti-discrimination student movement.
He made the remark while visiting the National Institute of Traumatology & Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (NITOR) and the National Institute of Opthalmology & Hospital (NIOH) in the capital to see the injured.
"The government will provide all necessary support for treatment of the injured of the recent Anti-Discrimination Students' Movement," the home affairs adviser said, according to a press release.
Replying to a query, the home affairs adviser said the physicians of the hospitals are very sincere and careful in this regard.
The advisor enquired about the treatment of the injured students and sympathized with them.
During the visit, he also gave instructions to the authorities concerned to ensure better treatment of the injured students.
