Karnaphuli Upazila administration cleared 25 decimal of government Khas land in Bar Utan area of Chattogram. The market value of these lands is about Tk 1.5 crore.
Karnaphuli Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Pijush Kumar Chowdhury conducted this operation on Thursday.
It is known that Md. Jamal Uddin and Md. Nasir Uddin were illegally occupying the government land for 25 years as a chicken farm.
Executive Magistrate Pijush Kumar Chowdhury said around 25 decimel land was recovered in Baro Utan area. Two persons named Md. Jamal Uddin and Md. Nasir Uddin were in possession of these lands. They were running a chicken farm business there. They are verbally told to move their respective establishments when the matter is noticed. Later these government properties were recovered by carrying out an operation there.
