The government is being effort to implement modernize and integrate of the power transmission system in the country, said State Minister for Power, Energy and Resources Nasrul Hamid.
He said it is essential to have automatic frequency control for the flow of electricity from renewable energy, coal-fired power, nuclear power, oil or gas based power plant.
The state minister was speaking as the chief guest at the presentation of the final report titled 'Performance Planning and Project Survey for PGCB' at a hotel in Dhaka on Saturday.

Nasrul Hamid said, “With global climate change, new fuels are being added to our fuel mix. The share of renewable and clean energy is steadily increasing. Initiatives will be taken to import clean energy from neighboring countries.”
The state minister said, “Renewable energy and its transmission system would be included in the integrated master plan. It is planned to take 40 percent of electricity from renewable energy by 2041. Our challenge is to provide uninterrupted electricity at affordable prices.
The process of modernizing the transmission and distribution system is underway. Various projects have been undertaken to develop the distribution system.”
