The Global Professional Accountants Convention (GloPAC), being held in India with a focus to connecting the globe, dwelling more profoundly on the professional accountants' role in creating value for the economy.
Beginning on November 23 the four day convention will run till 26th at the Mahatma Mandir Convention Centre, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India.
GloPAC is the 1st ever Professional Accountants Convention that aims to provide events of such grandeur where the global accountancy community can stay connected and ahead of the ever-changing dynamics of the world.
Md. Abdur Rahman Khan FCMA President ICMAB and Mahtab Uddin Ahmed FCMA Vice President ICMAB attended SAFA Board Meeting and Committee's meetings and Global Professional Accountants Convention (GloPAC) on the theme- "Connecting the Globe, Creating Value" on November 23-26, 2023 at Mahatma Mandir Convention Centre, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India.
The delegates from ICMAB met with the Presidents of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA), and other leaders of the Professional Accounting Bodies across the Globe during their visit.
Khan Chaired the SAFA NPO and Co-operatives sectors Committee meeting and presented the Committee's activities to the SAFA Board meeting.
Mahtab joined the SAFA Committee on Education Training and CPD's meeting as the committee member. Both joined the other committees meeting of SAFA as well and represented ICMAB.
Later, both the delegates from ICMAB participated in the Inaugural Ceremony of the "Global Professional Accountants Convention" (GloPAC) on the afternoon on November 24.
They will also participate in the 3-day event of around 30 technical sessions on various issues. The Convention would dwell more profoundly on the professional accountants' role in creating value for the economy.
On the second day, Mahtab will be the panelist at Track D1 - Professional Excellence - The Dynamics of Practice Management in the Digital Age.
This session will explain how digital transformation reshapes practice management in the accounting and finance industry. Explore a range of automation tools and solutions available to accounting professionals, including accounting software, workflow automation, and AI-powered platforms.

The convention aims to bring together stakeholders like thinkers, policymakers, standard setters, industry & commerce groups and financial institutions worldwide to ponder and debate the current issues and future trends concerning the accountancy profession.
