Global leaders, celebs attend Anant-Radhika wedding ceremony

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant got married on Friday in Mumbai. The couple, who has hosted pre-wedding functions around the world, is tying the knot in Mumbai at Jio World Drive, which is famously owned by Anant’s family. The event, which is possibly one of the biggest Indian weddings around the world, attended by celebrities and dignitaries from all over the world.

The wedding of Anant Ambani, youngest son of Indian industrialist Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant has attracted a constellation of high-profile guests from across the globe, marking it as one of the most anticipated events of the year.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi leads the roster of esteemed guests expected at the grand affair hosted at 'Antilia', the iconic 27-story, 570-foot-high residence on Altmount Road. Joining him are political figures such as West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, members of the Thackeray family, and Devendra Fadnavis. International dignitaries include former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Tony Blair, entrepreneur Peter Diamandis, artist Jeff Koons, life coach Jay Shetty, former US Secretary of State John Kerry, and former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

Antilia has been transformed into a spectacular wedding venue after six months of meticulous preparation. The opulent setting reflects the Ambani family's penchant for grandeur, adorned to perfection to host the matrimonial celebrations.

Adding to the star-studded affair are celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas, Ram Charan, and Jay Y. Lee, who have already graced Mumbai with their presence for the three-day extravaganza. The pre-wedding festivities have been enlivened by performances from global icons Rihanna and Justin Bieber.

Indian celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan, among many others, are expected to be a part of the festivities. The three stars performed a special dance number at the Jamnagar festivities in March, which was a treat for the fans who saw it online. The event in Jamnagar hosted almost 1200 guests and saw guests like Bill Gates, Hillary Clinton, Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump, Karlie Kloss, and Mark Zuckerberg, among others. Rihanna performed her first ever concert in eight years at this event. Diljit Dosanjh was also one of the performers at this function.

The festivities commenced with traditional pre-wedding rituals in Jamnagar, featuring captivating performances by renowned artists. Special ceremonies like Mameru-Mausulu and vibrant dandiya nights hosted by Kokilaben Ambani have showcased the rich cultural heritage and familial unity of the occasion.

Friday marks the culmination of celebrations with the main wedding ceremony, followed by blessings on Saturday and a grand post-wedding reception, known as Mangal Utsav, on Sunday. Each event promises to be a testament to the Ambani family's hospitality and the couple's union, resonating locally and globally as a momentous celebration of love and tradition.

$320 million wedding: The Ambani family then hosted many celebrities on a three-day cruise across France and Italy in June. Shah Rukh Khan, Sara Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor and many other celebrities were in attendance here. On the cruise, Katy Perry, Backstreet Boys and Pitbull performed for the guests. In Portofino, Andrea Bocelli performed for the guests. Justin Bieber performed at Anant and Radhika’s sangeet ceremony.
