Department of Innovation & Entrepreneurship of Daffodil International University has won the ‘Rookie of the year’ Award for its outstanding performance in promoting GEN Entrepreneurial effort countrywide.
The award has been conferred in a colorful ceremony held in Manama, Bahrain recently during Global Entrepreneurship Congress and Dr Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, DIU received this recognition for the University.

A total of 2500 delegates from 200 countries and 50 ministers including Zunaid Ahmed Palak, state minister of ICT Division of Bangladesh were present in the programme.
Developing entrepreneurs is the core focus of the university and to achieve the objectives the university is taking several initiatives. As a part of its effort, Department of Innovation and Entrepreneurship of DIU is collaborating with different organisations and associations globally to give the students a global platform to explore their potentials.
During the year, Daffodil International University hosted a huge number of events, activities to educate, engage and connect entrepreneurship in Bangladesh. The recognition has come considering the outreach and success of its initiative.

Mentionable, there were five nominees for this award and finally DIE of DIU achieved it for the high impact successful campaign. Bangladesh delegation at GLOBAL Entrepreneurship Congress 2019 has been led by Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, DIU and celebrated the moment.
