Gitanjali Lalitkala Academy observed 19th anniversary

In a celebration of art, culture, and education, the Gitanjali Lalitkala Academy marked its 19th anniversary with a vibrant and traditional cultural festival. The two-day event kicked off on the 6th of October and will continue through the 7th of October at the Uttarasth Small and Cottage Industries Auditorium, read a press release.

The grand inauguration of this colorful cultural extravaganza was graced by the presence of Mr. KM Khalid MP, the Honorable State Minister of the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. The festival will culminate on the 7th of October at 5:30 PM with a grand closing ceremony. During this event, three distinguished individuals will be awarded the Gitanjali Sammanna Padak 2023 in recognition of their outstanding contributions to education, art, literature, and culture in Bangladesh. The recipients include Prof. AMS Arefin Siddique, an esteemed educationist; M. Hamid, a renowned cultural personality; and Prof. Jamal Ahmed, a celebrated painter. Their dedication and achievements have left an indelible mark on the nation's cultural landscape.

The event's chief guest for the closing ceremony will be the Honorable Mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation, Md. Atiqul Islam, who will join the celebration to honor these distinguished awardees. Special guests from Irish Fashions Ltd, an esteemed organization, will also be present to share in the festivities.
