Mohamamd Kudus struck for the second time to help Ghana re-establish their lead with a second-half strike, making it 3-2 against South Korea as the African nation bid to keep their World Cup hopes alive.
In the second half, the Koreans struck two quick goals around the hour mark to pull themselves level 2-2. Both goals were scored by Gue-Sung Cho.
In the first half, Mohammed Kudus doubled the lead for Ghana, making it 2-0 in the first half after Mohammed Salisu had opened the scoring.
South Korea showed plenty of promise early on, earning as many as 7 corners but it was Ghana who took the lead. Ghana went ahead in the 24th minute when Salisu struck from close range after South Korea failed to clear a free kick and 10 minutes later Kudus doubled the lead with a glancing header.
The match is taking place at the Education City Stadium, Ar Rayyan. South Korea played a goalless draw with Uruguay in their opening game of the tournament, while Ghana lost 3-2 to Portugal despite giving a good fight to the Cristiano Ronaldo-led side.
South Korea is at the bottom of the table in Group H with one point to their credit. On the other hand, Ghana is in the second spot with three points. Portugal is top of the table.
