India's High Commissioner Riva Ganguly Das said that the GDP of Bangladesh is growing continuously. She said this at an exchange meeting with the businessmen organized by the Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Monday.
This meeting was held at the Bangabandhu Conference hall at the World Trade Center in Agrabad City.
Riva Ganguly said, for several years, the continuity of the index has improved in most cases, including the trade and commerce of Bangladesh. Especially in the economic sector, Bangladesh is ahead of many countries in the Middle East. India has many industrial factories in Bangladesh. This is playing a big role in the economy of Bangladesh. There will be zone of India in Mongla and Mirsharai Economic Zone.
Bangladesh-India relations are now crossing the golden section, she said, Bangladesh has expanded business trade in India more than many countries of the world. Various business houses, including Tata, Suzuki are now doing business in Bangladesh. He expressed his hope that the relationship will be more prosperous in the future.
Talking about India's intimate relationship with Chittagong, he remembered Masterda Surja Sen.
He said that due to the language culture and proximity and man-to-man contact, the relationship between the two countries has been very strong.
In the meeting, various business representatives pointed out various problems related to business and commerce in India, including the removal of complications of medical visa. Riva Ganguly said, "Medical visa is being made easier". He assured business cooperation.
In the meeting, Chamber President Mahbubul Alam said, "In our liberation war, India has extended its hand like a genuine friend."
To further strengthen India-Bangladesh trade cooperation, the Chamber President urges Indian businessmen to invest in Bangladesh, especially in the economic zones of Chittagong. He also stressed on increasing the connectivity of roads, waterways and railways to increase trade.
