For almost six decades the famous lyricist, film director, producer, storyteller Gazi Mazharul Anwar of the subcontinent who won the Ekushey Padak and National Film Award amazed the people of the cultural arena of Bangladesh in the program ‘Alpo Kothar Golpo Gaan’ organized by his son Upal and daughter Dithi on the occasion of his 78th birthday February 22.
The first book ‘Alpo Kothar Golpo Gaan’ written by this legend was also published at Gulshan Club in the capital on the same day. Almost everyone was invited to the event and the evening of February 22, turned into a timeless evening.

Debashish Biswas-Shanta Jahan's performance started at 8 pm with the song 'Joy Bangla Banglar Joy' written by his grandfather Gazi Mazharul Anwar, the son of Dithi Adhian, was on the piano. Soon after, Upal's daughter Arshia Dada came up on the stage and sang the song 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Dha, Amar Dadi Dada'.
Shortly afterwards, the cover of the book 'Alpo Kothar Golpo Gaan' published by Khandaker Monirul Islam's publishing house 'Bhashachitra' was unveiled in the presence of everyone including Upal-Dithi's mother Johra Gazi. Birthdays are also celebrated by cutting cakes. Gazi Mazharul Anwar is passionate and in love with everyone.
