A female garment worker died of electrocution in Sipahibagh Ice Cream Goli area of capital's Khilgaon on Monday night.
The victim was identified as Maryam Begum, 45.
She was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in unconscious state where doctor declared her dead.
Yamin, the son of the deceased, said my mother came in contact with an electric wire while returning home from work.
Later, she was taken to DMCH where doctor declared her dead.
