One reserved chair has been kept for the heroic freedom fighters in 4 police stations of the Chuadanga district including Jibannagar upazila. The heroic freedom fighters who come to meet the police station officer in charge or come for any need can sit in that chair. On the occasion of Mujib Year and the golden jubilee of independence, Chuadanga Superintendent of Police Jahidul Islam has provided special chairs for the heroic freedom fighters in every police station of the district.
This special chair has been put beside the chair of Office-in-Charge in these four police stations. Visitors are getting curious about this chair and asking questions. Getting the answer, many of the visitors expressed happiness and pride for the gallant freedom fighters.
Jibannagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Abdul Khaleq said that the freedom fighters who sacrificed everything for their country, has been provided a chair by the police in each police station of the district.
Akram Hossain, principal of Uthli Degree College, said those who have brought freedom for the people of Bangladesh by risking their lives, elevating our status on the world map, are the best children of the nation. The police have set a super example by giving special status to the best children of the nation. In the future, maybe in all police stations of the country like Chuadanga district, the freedom fighters will be honored in this way. Why only at the police station? This step can be followed at all levels of administration.
Superintendent of Police Jahidul Islam said, heroic freedom fighters are the best children of the nation. They deserve due respect. If we can give due status to the heroic freedom fighters, then we too can be honored. Moreover, the heroic freedom fighters are now burdened with age. Their appeal as a senior citizen is also the highest. I come every year with respect to the heroic freedom fighters. I have taken this initiative with that mentality.
